Sweet and sustainable Tourism

Malga Riondera tries to keep always present the principles which are the base of sweet and compatible tourism as for the hosting structure as for the related hospitality.

For this reason the following principles have to be applied:

· The renovation of the building has been done in accordance with the indications of the eco - compatible architecture, with the support of the bio – architect Giorgio Lasta both for the project and the direction of the work. This decision has involved the utilisation of eco–compatible materials as natural limes for the plasters , colours based on the use of lime for the walls and natural products ( Solas ) for the wood; the utilization, where possible, of certified wooden materials (FSC) under the ethical and environmental point of view; the grounding of all metal reinforcements inserted in the floor slabs and the insertion of the separators in the wiring system in order to eliminate electric fields in the rooms (by avoiding the connection of rechargeable set of the mobile phone in the bedrooms ; the use of thermo acoustics sealant materials in the rooms as linen carpets, the purchase of furniture in solid wood without veneered and glued parts; the use of domestic appliances of energetic class A and gas stoves equipped with safety systems;  mattresses in natural material and linen in natural cotton;  the lighting basically on low consumption;

· For breakfast meals products from local Trentino milk and cheese are used, of biological or company’s production  or coming from the eco – responsible commerce ( bread, marmalades, honey, juices, the infusions), barley, muesli.

· The use of biodegradable detergents at 100% as for washing dishes as for the linen by eliminating, where possible,  the use of disposable plastic.

· Use of less polluted fuels for the water heating ( liquid petroleum gas ) or renewable tools such as wood; furthermore solar panels have been installed to support the heating of the water. Use of public transport is encouraged by the free transfer from the holiday farm to the train or bus station and vice - versa both at the arrival and departing period chosen. In order to compensate the inevitable environmental impact determined by the services offered, a part of the income is accrued to finance intervention to safeguard local forests or forests situated in the south of the world. To the simple hospitality proposals of activities which propose the knowledge of the surrounding natural environment are offered, visits on the territory, participation to specific laboratories on the sustainability, organization of lecture ( reading ) moments, music and popular dances.

Guests are kindly invited to:

• Not smoking in the rooms of the holiday farm
• Use of water, light, heating in a moderate way.
• Reduce and differentiate as much as possible the waste and put them in the provided containers (including cigarette ends in the containers positioned outside).
• Avoid throwing materials which can occlude toilet - bowls , sanitary towels, cotton bubs and so on..
• Respect of all animal and vegetal living forms

Every contribution of ideas or creative expression from the guests will be encouraged and welcome which support our effort to promote the safeguard of the environment, quality of life and non-violence.

A little present will be given to all of you who will take a peace reflection to write on our Lbro Malga.
